STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Hensley Dorrell
Hensley Dorrell, daughter of Dale and Megan Dorrell, was also chosen as a student of the month from the elementary. “We chose her because she has shown great decision-making skills in the area of fairness by taking turns, following the rules, including everyone and being an overall great friend. I am so proud of you Hensley!” replied Mrs. Hass, Hensley’s teacher. Hensley described the importance of being fair to be making sure people are happy. “Be fair so people are included,” commented Hensley. Hensley enjoys coming to school to learn and hang out with her friends. When she is not in school, she can be found coloring, watching tv or reading. Hensley is in second grade.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Teagan Lucy
Teagan Lucy, a fourth grade student at Bowbells Public School, was chosen as a student of the month based on fairness. “She is always one to take turns and never complains if she has to wait. She ensures that everyone gets a turn or feels included in what they are doing even if others try to exclude someone,” remarked Mrs. Heidel, Teagan’s teacher. Teagan responded the importance of being fair is so one is feeling left out. Teagan’s advice to others, “Make sure no feelings are hurt.” Teagan enjoys coming to school to learn. Her favorite part of school is the Eskimo Family time. She really likes these activities. When Teagan is not at school, she enjoys playing with her family and friends. Teagan is the daughter of Joy and Travis Lucy.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Carson Thingvold
Carson Thingvold, son of Jon and Celeste Thingvold, was chosen as a student of the month. Carson has been chosen for his growth in maturity and leadership during this past year. “We see Carson being accountable for his actions, helping others, and growing into a role model for the younger boys in our school. He has developed a more positive attitude this year toward his work and activities, and we appreciate his happy go lucky attitude as he tackles each day,” commented Mrs. Stroklund, Carson’s teacher. Carson described being a leader to be someone that helps others and sets examples for others to follow. “Always set an example and help motivate others to do the best they can,” advised Carson. Carson feels education is important for getting a job and learning new things. He is involved in baseball, basketball, football, speech, FBLA, and student council. In his free time, Carson enjoys hunting, fishing and sports. Carson is a senior at BHS.
